How We Met

We met at a party thrown by mutual friends, Jenn and Lee Shinaberger in October of 2003. We started dating shortly afterward and have been together ever since.

The Proposal

We had planned to meet up with some friends for game night that evening. During the day, Chris called Erin and asked if she wanted to get burgers at River City Cafe before heading over. For those who don't live in the area, it is a small place located on the beach, not far from our house. After a quick dinner, Chris suggested a walk on the beach before game night. We walked along the beach for a few minutes (with Erin pointing out various sea creatures and sand features) and then turned around to head back to the parking lot. On the way, we passed underneath a pier. Chris surprised Erin by proposing on the spot. After getting over the initial shock, Erin finally said yes.
